Flower Challenge #3

Hi Everyone. It's the 4th of the month so that must mean it's time for another Flower Challenge! I hope you're enjoying things so far because this month it's all about

USE AN OLDER STAMP OR DIE

Now I know I'm a sucker for new releases and buying stuff - you just have to check out my haul videos to see that! - but it's nice to give some of our older stash some love. I've not been crafting that long and I haven't a huge amount of flower stuff, but this Clearly Besotted set fit the bill.

I took a piece of watercolour card stock and cut it with a stitched rectangle die. I stamped the flowers using Ranger Archival ink and coloured the images with my Polychromos pencils. It's not a quick job, but I do love using them and adding white details.

I added the sentiment on foam pads and then added a few sequins for a bit of bling. I mounted it onto a red card base with fun foam - I find this helps to get better coverage and keeps it flat.

The usual rules apply and you have until 20th December to enter. Go have a rummage around and see what you can come up with!

Here is a list of the supplies I used on this card. I have signed up to affiliate links on some products (at present only through Simon Says Stamp). If you purchase any item after clicking on an affiliate link, I will receive a small commission at no extra cost to you. This helps to support the cost of running my blog and your support is much appreciated :)

Hello Ruth: I love, love this beautiful flower images and your coloring of them with pencils. It's indeed a bit time consuming to color with pencils but it's so worth it, this pencils are perfect for blending and shadowing, just beautiful.
Love the bling of the sequences too.
Big Hugs,
Maria.

Love those flower images Ruth and you have coloured them beautifully! Thank you for your sweet message over on my blog, and I appreciate your well wishes for Mum, she is so much better now (still not up to a lot of things, but she's getting there slowly), hopefully, when the weather is warmer, she will be even better! Have a wonderful week! Hazel xx

How funny I was colouring these images too during the challenge, and with pencils! You are right, colouring with pencils is not fast. I think you did a great job of keeping the colours soft and leaving highlights. But the time is well spent , I think pencils repay you for your efforts. Super pretty and makes me want to go and pick up,where I left off with mine :-) xx
