Melonizing with Krumspring Stamps - VIDEO

Hi Everybody! Did you get lots of snow during the week? We've had a few hours, but thankfully it has all gone. I have two disappointed small children, but I'm not!

I've a video for you today sharing my Melon card. If you don't know what melonizing is, it's a brilliant challenge that my friend Dani started over on Instagram. All you have to do is colour something like a melon. Simple and yet really addictive!

I started by stamping the background stamp using my Precision Press. I love this stamp. It's from a new company called Krumspring Stamps based in Denmark and set up by Maria who loves to draw and colour in triangles. It is hugely therapeutic!

It reminds me of a stained glass window and I marked out and coloured in two watermelons with my Copic markers. I then added some details in with my Copic Multiliner for the seeds.

To finish, I trimmed the panel then mounted it onto a green card base. I trimmed an A2 card base down to fit. I added the sentiment in Ranger Dye Inks with a little Avery Elle alphabet set and die cut with a new tiny speech bubble set that a friend sent me for my birthday. Some sequins finished it off nicely.

You can watch my speed colouring video on my YouTube channel, or below:

Here is a list of the supplies used on this card. I have signed up to affiliate links on some products (currently only Simon Says Stamp). If you purchase any item after clicking on an affiliate link, I will receive a small commission at no extra cost to you. This helps in a small way to support the running of my blog and is very much appreciated, thank you!

If you would like to join in and try melonizing, head over to Dani's Instagram page and have a look. If you colour something in, use the hashtag #melonentierchen. Have some fun and Melonize something today! Thank you for stopping by :)

Melonizing....you have created the most perfect melon inspired card here Ruth, such a clever idea using that one triangle at a time die, personally I feel that you could use that to create many objects and its ever so versatile. Really enjoyed watching your video too as you make Copic colouring look easy. Awesome finish card and with the added funny sentiment works perfectly. Hugs x

What a cool design Ruth! Love that look and you have coloured it beautifully! We don't get a lot of snow down here on the coast, but it is still cold though (well, for here). Have a wonderful Sunday my friend! Hazel xx
