Hello! I hope that everyone is having a great week so far. We are just about to hit half term - it comes round with increasing regularity! - and so I'm gearing up for some things to do and hoping it doesn't rain much.
I'm sharing a card I made for a very lovely crafty friend's birthday. She loves Stamping Bella and she loves the colour purple, so I decided to colour up this stamp which I've had for a while and which has been crying out for me to colour.
Perfect timing of course as the Lily of the Valley by the front steps have just started to open.
I've kept the card simple and focussed on the colouring, which I've done with Copic markers, as I need to practice for my upcoming Class Three. I have a previous post sharing how much fun I had at Classes One and Two, which you might enjoy.
Anyway, back to my card. I stamped out my Garden Girl - Lily of the Valley onto a piece of Make It Colour Blending card with Memento Tuxedo Black using my Precision Press, in case I had to double stamp, but I find rubber stamps much better than photopolymer on a first stamp, so I didn't need to.
I then started colouring her in with my Copic markers. These stamps always come with a picture of the image coloured in on the packet, so I usually take some inspiration from this and help with blending and skin tones.
I tried working on my folds and I'm quite pleased with how the skirt turned out.
I kept it simple and framed it with some Lawn Fawn Perfectly Plaid paper cut out with the frame from WPlus9 Sunshine Layers. I then trimmed the panel and attached it to an A2 card layered with some nice lavender card.
Here is a list of the supplies used on this card. I have signed up to affiliate links on some products (currently only Simon Says Stamp). If you purchase any item after clicking on an affiliate link, I will receive a small commission at no extra cost to you. This helps in a small way to support the running of my blog and is very much appreciated, thank you!
Wishing my friend an absolutely fabulous birthday and you all a great day! Thanks for stopping by and hope to see you again soon.
