Hello! I'm away for two weeks and then you get two in two days - must be something in the water....
I've actually been feeling a bit flat since the 30 Day Colour Challenge ended. It's always so inspiring seeing what everyone has been doing and when it ends I go on a bit of a craft downer. Never fear though, because there are a few things going on to get me crafting again, and they are all about spreading and sharing kindness, which is even better:
1. Tracie Pond of Creations for Kindness asked people to send cards out as part of World Kindness Day on 13th November, so I finally got round to popping a card in the post today - one of my leaf ones. Maybe there's something you could try doing on that day to spread a little kindness?
2. Jennifer McGuire has launched her new website and also a new challenge of Share Handmade Kindness. This week the challenge was to share kindness with friends and family. I've been making lots of apple pies as we've had a good crop this year from two of our three apple trees, so I took one round this evening to our handyman as he's been in hospital to have a tumour removed, and also to our direct neighbour as they are really great neighbours and keep an eye on the house when we're away - and water the plants!
I hope you'll take the opportunity to take part as well - kindness costs little and gives much.
3. The Caring Hearts Card Drive is still going on. Various people in Canada, the USA and Australia are collecting cards for elderly people who live in nursing homes. If anyone in the UK can find me something similar, I will also participate in that!
I had a card that I'd made during the 30 Day Colour Challenge using my recent CB October release stamps, so I thought it was nice and bright and cheery. I'll be sending that off this week.
Ha! You can see my messy craft desk in this picture. Normally I religiously remove everything from it to take pictures!
And last but not least, I have a pile of cards to make and send to various crafty friends I've met online. It really is a wonderful community, as you can see from the pictures I've received in the last couple of months:
I hope that you may be inspired to take part in these challenges and card drives. The world could do with some more kindness :)
Thanks for reading and I hope the rest of your week goes really well.

My goodness your've been busy. I'm waiting for my apple pie......might be a bit squashed by the time it gets here but I promise I'll still eat it. Its funny how we go full pelt with the colouring each day and then miss it so much. I know exactly what you mean. I think your taking the apple pies to neighbour and handyman are so brilliant. With all you do and the babies at home I dont know how you do it all. Your card is wonderful and nobody notices the mess when they look at the cards, excpet when you point it out so we have to take a second look. Your a wonderful person Ruth with very lucky neighbours.
Once I saw those pies, it was hard to concentrate on anything else, Ruth! Welcome back yesterday! Your coloring is fabulous and I love both cards and your array of kindness hanging on the wall! Isn't it wonderful to have all these outlets available to us for sharing kindness?! I'd love to add you to my card pen pals if you'd like. Just email me. Hugs, Darnell
Thanks for sharing and hope you have a great week too. Karen x
Wonderful projects, Ruth! Your first card is my favourite -- I love that sentiment!
I'm loving the encouragement of the Share Handmade Kindness to reach out to others!
I can smell those pies from here! They look delicious! I love those balloons from CB, you did great coloring them!
I just placed my first order with them from this release!
Mmmmm, hot apple pie and ice cream!!
These card drives are a lovely idea, will need to join in I think. Love your display of cards, might need to copy that idea I still have a space on the wall for something.
I see we have the same taste in pen tubs!!

Yummy looking pies -- how nice of you to make for your people :)
I love love love what you did. The cards are wonderful, the pies look amazing (yummi!) and it's so nice to display all the cards you've got like that. I guess I have to set up my cards in a similar or same way ;)
