Hi Everyone, I have the pleasure of introducing you to a new challenge today - it's all about Flowers! My lovely friend Aileen, who joined me on the Copic colouring class, and who loves nothing more than flowers and challenges has decided to create her own all about focussing on flowers on your cards.

ANYTHING GOES
So, I'm sharing with you this card that I made for a friend's wedding recently.
I coloured the background panel during the last 30 day colouring challenge. It's a panel of Neenah Solar White 110lb cardstock that I stamped randomly with my Charles Rennie Mackintosh rose stamp (from Make Your Mark Stamps in York) using Memento Tuxedo Black. I then coloured with Copic markers (on the train for added excitement!).
I then took my largest SSS stitched rectangle die and placed it over the card taping it down with washi tape. I then took my butterfly bride die - I got this in my DT post for Craft Stash - and placed it in the middle, before running it all through my die cutting machine.
I then took some red fun foam and cut out the bride again. I then made an A2 (US) card blank from some dark green cardstock and adhered the main panel using my ATG. I adhered the fun foam to the card blank with glue and gently put it in place. I then adhered the bride on top of the fun foam.
That was it - no sentiment as I felt it didn't need it.

The following supplies were used to make this card. Please note I DO NOT USE AFFILIATE LINKS.
I love the look of hidden die cuts, don't you? They look very clever!
I hope that has inspired you to enter into the challenge - floral stamps are everywhere and if you have some old ones that need some love, that's even better! You have until 25th October to enter, so that's plenty of time.
Do please pop over to the The Flower Challenge blog and have a look at the rules and the other beautiful flowery cards that my Design Team colleagues have made.
Thanks for taking the time to read, have a good one!

oh Ruth, this is gorgeous!!!
It's gorgeous! I love hidden die cuts and its really pretty with the foam underneath to pop it up and give a splash of colour. And a lovely die it is too. I am glad you managed to use that beautiful coloured panel from the 30 day challenge :-) xx
Oh I'm glad you shared an image from the side, I didnt' see the hidden diecut of the Bride! That is stunning! Congratulations on the new Challenge Blog!
Hi Ruth, wow what a stunning looking card. So clever putting the bride die there and with the red foam under layer. Looks totally awesome. Thank you so much for joining our Design Team, its going to be so good, especially if your awake and checking on things when Im asleep. Thank goodness for that on our launch day, averted a major disaster.
This is beautiful! I adore the look of Charles Rennie Mackintosh's roses and you've used them here wonderfully.
Such a pretty and clever design, Ruth. At first I thought the middle section had been torn, until I saw your second photograph. I will definitely check out the new challenge. Sounds like great fun!

This is gorgeous, Ruth! What a beautiful pattern you have created on the background and I love the hidden die cut xx
Hello Ruth: What a beautiful die you used for your card, I love how the way you placed it tricks the eye a bit but still you are able to see it's lovely shape. Love how you created your own pattern paper too, just beautiful.

Maria.
