Bonnes Fetes - Digital Stamps from Steph

I know it's Hallowe'en, but today I'm sharing with you another of Steph's new digital stamps. We're sticking with the theme of Christmas with Bonnes Fetes - Season's Greetings.

I added my digital stamp to a Word document and calculated where it would be on the edge of the paper and printed it out on thick white card. I then trimmed it down to a card panel of 4.25 x 5.5 inches, in landscape format.

I die cut my little trees using my Lawn Fawn tree border die that I won in a giveaway from the lovely Gemma Ramsay

I decided I wanted a night sky to contrast with the white of the snow border. I took a piece of scrap watercolour card which was big enough to cover most of where the border wouldn't on an A2 (US size) card base.

I used Salty Ocean, Chipped Sapphire, Blueprint Sketch and Seedless Preserves. I then decided that it would be great if Santa were flying by on his sleigh, so I heat embossed him onto the sky - it's usually best to do this before to save the embossing powder sticking where it shouldn't if the panel isn't quite dry, but I think it gives it a bit of a haze - lol!

I then added some waterdrops and dried them off with a paper towel, and then took some Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pen in Crystal Clear and Moonlight and added some splatters, along with some white Gansai Tambi paint.

I attached it to the card base with some double sided tape, then added the tree border on top with foam tape.

  It's bright, cheery and festive!

Some Bits and Pieces - Flamenco Mice Digital Stamps

Hi Everyone, I have some more new digital stamps to share with you. Do you remember Jeanin's Forest Friends blog hop? Well, she's come up with some more *free* digital stamps and another hop. You should have arrived here from Nina, but if not and you want to start from the beginning, head back to Jeanin and follow the hops :)

These are the Flamenco Mice. I thought they would work beautifully with some interaction, given that I think they are dancing.

Aren't they cute? I started by resizing my images in Word and then printing them out onto some Neenah 110lb so that I could do some Copic colouring. I then fussy cut them out - and they weren't too fiddly, but you do need to be careful around the rose.

I had printed the other elements (rose, fan and maracas) really small, so did what I could without chopping them apart while fussy cutting.

I took a panel of water colour card and blended some distress inks onto it to look like a sunset - Mustard Seed, Wild Honey and Ripe Persimmon worked well.

I then took a panel of Neenah 110lb and cut an aperture for the sun and one for my slider. I attached a slider element to a piece of scrap Neenah and then my female mouse on top, sandwiching the panel in between. I added my male mouse at the edge and then lots of foam tape at the back of the panel before positioning on my watercolour panel. Hey presto she slides over to flamenco with him in the sunset!

I added the other elements around the edge of the panel and a fan to the end of the pull tab. These are lovely images to colour.
