Hi Everyone! I hope you're all well and enjoying whatever the weather can throw at us (snow here!) and also having fun colouring if you're managing to join in with the Daily Marker 30 Day Coloring Challenge. I've been dipping in and out so far this month, which has been a bit more relaxing than doing it every day.
I'm back to share a project I made for a crafty friend who has been extremely kind and generous over the time I've got to know her. It also used some of my stash that I got from the Paper Artsy stall at the Happy Stampers event in October.
I started by taking a piece of water colour card and blending distress inks over it in Seedless Preserves, Blueprint Sketch and Chipped Sapphire. I then took my MFT star stencil and added texture paste to it. I then liberally applied splatters of Spectrum Noir Crystal Clear Sparkle pen and left it to dry.
I took another piece of watercolour card and stamped the images in archival ink before colouring them in with Gansai Tambi paints. I then partially die cut the frame out and then fussy cut round the images. I was inspired by Maaike's video technique and I love the result.
I adhered the top panel to the sky background with foam pads and then added it onto an A2 (US) card base. I stamped the sentiment from Clearly Besotted Many Mini Messages in archival ink onto a scrap of water colour card and added it on with foam pads.
I love how the hedgehogs are gazing up into the sky with wonder and awe.
Thank you so much for stopping by, and I hope to see you again soon. Have a great day!
PS The little clay hedgehogs I bought in 1989 when I was on holiday and we happened to stop at a pottery!

As the honoured recipient of this card let me say, it is even more gorgeous in real life. I absolutely adore it! Thank you. I love that sky and those hedgehogs are adorable (both the ones on the card and the ones in the photo!). I have just bought this stamp set so thank you also for the inspiration in suing it! xx
It's absolutely wonderful Ruth, I love it, it is gorgeous and totally made me smile and I am so glad you sent it to Michelle to make her smile too :) Kx
Ruth, this is such a beautiful card!!!
It is a super card, so much to look at! I LOVE the background, the colours are great and the texture paste adds so much dimension. And those images are cute, I don't have any Paper Artsy so i must investigate that brand. And clever partial die cutting too, I am always nervous of partial die cutting, yours was perfect! Xx
Sweet and lovely card.
Lovely night time sky!
It looks great ruth! I love the stars with the embossing paste, the glitter droplets looks really nice, the fussy cutting really add somethings and i love the shading of the tree and hedehogs you added as well.
xx
