No I haven't gone back to my old days of being on the DT, although I have to say I miss the camaraderie we had, no, I decided after seeing all the great posts from the team and the object of using any previous challenge I couldn't refuse to join in.
This one is for Challenge 17 - CAS. I love CAS and it's a great opportunity to focus on the flower itself. With this one, it's all about the colouring and I even braved some no line as well.
I stamped the Make a Wish image from Clearly Besotted onto some Strathmore Coloured Pencil paper with some yellow memento dye ink. I then got to colouring slowly and with very light layers using my Faber Castell Polychromos, trying my very best to give it some light source. I really struggle with this technique.
I went back in to give it some added depth with some black pencils in all the nooks and crannies as Kathy would say.
I haven't done much in the way of colouring for this current 30 Day Colouring Challenge, so it was nice to sit down and spend some time with me and my colouring medium.
I'm linking this up to the challenge at The Daily Marker 30 Day Colouring Challenge and also the Flower Challenge #21 Use a Previous Challenge.
Thanks so much for popping by and happy crafting! :)

This is gorgeous Ruth! As you know one of my fave stamps ever. Quite a large image to colour with pencils, so yay for you! I have not coloured this with pencils and I think you have coloured it beautifully. your no line colouring looks wonderful. I wish I had time to join in all the challenges and I bet the ladies at the Flower Challenge were thrilled you joined in. A lovely card, Lisa xx
What a lovely colored flower! Very frameable ☺
Ruth, this card is beautiful! You did a WONDERFUL job coloring the flowers!! Especially with no lines!!! I need to get some stamps to color and try it myself. You should be proud of what you did!!!!

This is gorgeous Ruth, you have done a fantastic job with the colouring. Keeping your card CAS really makes the image pop and highlights your wonderful colouring. Thanks so much for joining us at The Flower Challenge. Rachel x
Gorgeous card Ruth, so lovely to see you in our gallery again, you are missed of course! Thanks for playing with us again over at 'The Flower Challenge' my lovely friend ;) hugs Viv xx
Fancy seeing you here!! This is so beautiful Ruth. I would never have thought of stamping an image in yellow but it goes with this perfectly. And I think you really did succeed with capturing the light (something I struggle with too...). Its such soft, delicate colouring, makes the flower look so real. And you know your always welcome at The Flower Challenge!! xxxx
This is one of my fav stamps (of all time) and its so pretty with the soft pencil colouring!! xx
This is absolutely SUPERB. Your no line colouring is fabulous too. TFS xxx
